Title: Accounting Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

SteerBridge Strategies seeks a detail-oriented individual proficient in the use of Intuit's QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise accounting software. The candidate must be practiced in bookkeeping activities to include preparation of customer invoices, processing vendor bills for payment, and account reconciliations. Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) required. Helpful if familiar with multi-state payroll processes.

REQUIRED

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • One to three years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Must have intermediate-to-advanced experience in QuickBooks and Excel.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support to the Finance department and performs basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
  • Handles communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Processes customer payments, issuing statements and management of customer accounts.
  • Processes bills and issues payments.
  • Assists with audits, fact checks, and resolves discrepancies.
  • Assists with payroll by submitting staff reimbursements and purchases. Also functions as backup for processing payroll if needed.
  • Works with the insurance company to ensure proper coverage, manages paperwork on claims, assists in renewals and requests Certificates of Insurance.
  • Completes credit applications and assists in completion of information for new/renewing customer contracts.
  • Assists in the renewal of government, state and local licensing and certifications.
  • Monitors credit card purchases and ensures they are properly recorded/classified.
  • Handles petty cash for reimbursements, etc.
  • May assist in training newly hired bookkeeping clerks and administrative support team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Architect will:

  • Be responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
  • Evaluate the reusability of current data for additional analyses.

POSITION SUMMARY

SteerBridge seeks a highly-motivated professional to provide administrative and operations support to our Founder and CEO (hereinafter “CEO”). The ideal candidate sees no task as too big or small, takes initiative on driving projects towards deadline completion, and possesses acute discretion when interacting with internal and external contacts.

The Executive Assistant’s (“EA”) primary responsibility is to provide excellent administrative assistance for the purpose of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO and our senior leadership team. This person will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a polished, professional attitude and a keen understanding of what it means to be an extension of the CEO, the Office and our executive team.

SteerBridge is growing. To meet the needs of our developing operations, we have expanded the scope of this position to include operations assistance. In this capacity, the EA will support the CEO in operational processes and projects across various functions of the company (such as Human Resources, Recruiting, Accounting, Marketing, etc.) as needed.

This individual must possess strong communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to adjust to the different requirements and cultural conditions of diverse operating environments. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive Calendar Management – Gatekeeper of CEO’s time; pro-actively manage calendar ensuring entries are complete and accurate; professionally answer and field all direct, incoming calls.
  • Executive Communications – Assist in writing, proofing and editing letters, emails and other correspondence on CEO’s behalf.
  • Operations Support – Provide streamlined assistance cross-departmentally for daily operational needs and projects as directed by CEO.

  • performing day to day querying and analysis using SQL queries and procedures, and script execution to enhance understanding of data within a consolidated data store;
  • considering amorphous problem sets or functional requirements to determine path forward on creating the query to support end user business needs;
  • migration of queries, including conversion of syntax, from Postgres DB to a Redshift data store;
  • develop materialized views, stored procedures and scheduled queries;
  • analyze existing queries for performance improvement and optimize runtime against Redshift database; and
  • provide upskilling to team members and knowledge share usability and optimization techniques.

  • Work with developers, team leads, and test sites to identify and architect test plans, execute tests, document results, and triage defects.
  • Ensure test environments are set up accurately prior to test execution.
  • Coordinate with test sites and other team participants to plan test events.
  • Analyze and identify suitable opportunities for test automation, develop automation components/modules using appropriate tools and programming languages, and carry out test automation script/cases to include identify/logging issues, and provide support during issue resolution process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Handle incoming contacts via electronic media such as:
    • Telephone (via toll-free access numbers).
    • Electronic mail.
    • SMS/text messaging.
    • Web-Chat submissions.
    • Self-service web portal.
  • Act as the single interface and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all communications with and between end-users and resolver groups regarding all incidents and tickets.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership and ticket management through either direct resolution or escalation / interaction with appropriate resolver groups.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of all tickets, including logging, categorizing, prioritizing, and recording resolutions.

  • Provide and maintain ownership of service request (SR) lifecycle (end-to-end ownership) and provide timely response to SR’s based on priority.
  • Communicate status of SRs to end-users as status changes.
  • Transfer the SR to the appropriate resolver group as required.
  • Maintain oversight for monitoring, controlling, and ensuring timely resolution of SRs.
  • Escalate urgent, business critical, and VIP (if option exercised) SRs according to established procedures.
