At SteerBridge, Dayan Ibrar serves as a Data Engineer supporting a next-generation medical disability claims initiative currently operating in a secure, closed pilot phase. While the work remains behind the scenes, the responsibility is clear: build the architecture correctly before scaling.

Dayan’s work spans the full technical stack — from Terraform-provisioned AWS environments to API integrations and automated data pipelines. His focus is modernizing legacy workflows into streamlined, automated architectures designed for improved data integrity and operational efficiency.

Operating within a controlled pilot environment allows the team to test rigorously, refine performance, and validate reliability before broader deployment.

Turning Complexity into Structure

Dayan approaches engineering challenges methodically.

“I divide and conquer,” he says. “Break complex problems into manageable components, solve them cleanly, then integrate them into something scalable.”

His toolkit includes AWS Lambda, SQS, SageMaker, Python, Spark, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD, and Docker — supported by disciplined Agile delivery practices.

But beyond the tools, collaboration is critical. Close coordination between technical and business stakeholders ensures system design aligns with real operational requirements.

Modernizing Legacy Integrations

One of Dayan’s key contributions has been helping transition legacy API integrations into a streamlined automated architecture now functioning within the secure pilot framework.

Rather than layering new systems on top of outdated processes, the team focused on rebuilding workflows for clarity, reliability, and long-term scalability.

“It’s not about moving fast for the sake of speed,” Dayan notes. “It’s about engineering systems that can support the mission consistently.”

Since joining SteerBridge, Dayan has deepened his expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and data engineering. He has earned multiple AWS certifications and continues advancing toward his Machine Learning Specialty certification.
